Follow the Magic in Dublin City Centre and see it like you’ve never seen it before. With 25 city centre locations, spectacular lights and interactive activities, it’s an experience for everyone to enjoy.

Iconic Dublin buildings, bridges and landmarks will be epically transformed with incredible light installations and projections designed by world-class national and international artists. Experience dazzling displays at Merrion Square Park and the GPO, and enjoy fantastic new light experiences at Dublin Castle, Wolfe Tone Square, along the River Liffey and Meeting House Square.

Dublin Castle - Courtyard

‘Flux’ from French artists collective ‘SCALE’ redesigns its surroundings and offers a unique, playful and frenetic show in which the choreography intimately dialogues with the music.

GPO (General Post Office)

Dynamic digital projections of stunning artworks by 8 leading national and international digital artists will feature on this iconic building.

Merrion Square Park - ticketed

This year, ‘Dublin City Council Dublin Winter Lights’ at Merrion Square Park brings playfulness, lighting and interactivity with walk through lighting installations including an immersive Kaleidoscope.

The Spire

The Spire will become a beacon of light visible for miles around with beams of light projecting into the sky.

O’Connell Street - Trees

Colour changing LED lighting will transform the trees along O’Connell Street.

O’Connell Statue on O’Connell Street

On the 250th anniversary of the birth of Daniel O’Connell, a new lighting installation will illuminate this iconic statue at the top of O’Connell Street.

Newcomen Bank

In collaboration with Belfast’s Visual Spectrum Studios, 'Dublin City Council Dublin Winter Lights' will present a video mapping on the former Newcomen Bank.

City Hall

The colourful video mapping from Lightscape Studios projected onto City Hall will have an advent calendar theme.

Palace Street Building

The artworks from the annual Children’s Winter Art competition will be projected onto the side of Palace Street.

River Liffey Boat

Featuring 180 beams of light, a floating lighting installation will travel through the heart of the city from Heuston Station to Dublin Port.

James Joyce Bridge

The large-scale colour-changing light installation will transform the single-span structural steel bridge with its distinctive angled arches.

Digital Depot

The former smock windmill, Patrick’s Tower, will once again be illuminated with digital projections.

Meeting House Square

This immersive 3-dimensional lighting installation will feature over 3,000 balls of light. 'Meeting House Cubed' is a collaboration with designer Anthony Murphy.

Temple Bar Square

‘Xs & Os’ is a game that dates back almost 1000 years. People can play one of the world’s oldest games in a new way with this large scale light structure in the heart of the city.

Ha’penny Bridge

The iconic Ha’Penny Bridge will feature a colour changing lighting installation.

Millennium Bridge

The colourful and popular rainbow arches are back again for'Dublin City Council Dublin Winter Lights' 2025.

Wolfe Tone Square

An interactive motion sensing wall of LED pixels will capture the movement of the daily commute.

Hugh Lane Gallery

Creative artworks by students from NCAD Moving Media Video Mapping Exhibition will be projected onto Hugh Lane Gallery.

Custom House

Colourful projections by Irish artist James Earley will be projected onto this famous 18th century building.

Talbot Street Bridge

This LED lighting installation is a hanging light sculpture under the Talbot Street rail bridge.

George's Dock

100 powerful beams of light will illuminate the sky as 'Dublin City Council Dublin Winter Lights' presents the lighting installation ‘Céad’, in association with Lighting Designer Sonya Fossett and electronic music artist and producer Caolan Ryan.

Samuel Beckett Bridge

The Samuel Beckett bridge will come to life as a series of visuals move across this landmark bridge.

The Docks

‘Dublin City Council Dublin Winter Lights’ in collaboration with professional dancer Jessie Thompson presents a specially curated performance piece where light and water meets dance on a 40 metre wide water screen.

Mansion House

A starry winter wonderland with a captivating canopy of shimmering festive lights. There is a dedicated sensory room for those who need a break from sensory stimulation.

Dublin Castle - Lower Yard

A video mapping artwork from artist Jack Phelan will projected on to a neo-classical building in the lower yard of Dublin Castle.

Palace Street Gate

The archway to Dublin Castle will be transformed with dynamic light projections, becoming a colourful entrance that leads to two light displays in Dublin Castle.
