Instagram Competition Terms and Conditions

  1. Competition Overview
    Participants can enter the Dublin City Council Dublin Winter Lights Competition by uploading a photo of any of the 2024 Dublin City Council Dublin Winter Lights locations to their Instagram profile and using the hashtag #dublinwinterlightscomp
  2. Eligibility
    • Participants must be 18 years or older to enter.
    • Entrants must have a public Instagram profile, and the photo must be publicly accessible for the duration of the competition.
  3. Entry Requirements
    • To participate, entrants must upload a photo of any Dublin City Council Dublin Winter Lights location to their own Instagram profile.
    • The hashtag #dublinwinterlightscomp must be included in the caption for the entry to be considered valid.
    • Each participant may submit multiple entries; however, each entry must be a unique photo of a Dublin City Council Dublin Winter Lights location.
    • Entries with private profiles or photos not accessible to the public will not be considered.
  4. Competition Period
    • The competition opens at 5pm on 2nd December 2024 and closes at 12pm on 16th December 2024.
    • Entries submitted after the closing date will not be eligible.
  5. Judging and Selection of Winners
    • Entries will be judged based on creativity, originality, and alignment with the Dublin City Council Dublin Winter Lights theme – Feel the Magic.
    • Winners must respond within 72 hours to claim their prize, or another winner may be selected.
  6. Prizes
    • Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternative.
  7. Use of Entries
    • By entering the competition, participants grant Dublin City Council the right to use submitted photos for marketing and promotional purposes, including but not limited to social media posts, websites, and event promotions.
  8. Privacy
    • Any personal data collected as part of this competition will be used solely for contacting winners and delivering prizes and will be handled in accordance with Dublin City Council’s privacy policy.
