National Museum of Ireland Collins Barracks

Artists from all over the world were invited to submit applications for their work to feature on the National Museum of Ireland Collins Barracks building, as part of this year’s ‘Dublin City Council Dublin Winter Lights’ programme. The competition will be judged by an esteemed panel of internationally-recognised judges.

Experience 360-degree video mapping and soundscapes in the historic Clarke Square of the National Museum of Ireland Collins Barracks. 8 international artists have created stunning visuals and graphics accompanied by soundscapes that explore the theme “Immerse Yourself”.

Special Curator’s Tour of Harry Clarke Exhibition
Join Dr Siobhán Doyle a special Curator’s Tour as she shares her unique perspective and knowledge about a brand new exhibition of Harry Clarke’s stained glass. In this 30-minute tour, Siobhán will unpack the rich narratives in Harry Clarke’s work, which is recognised internationally for its originality and impressive technical skill.

Glowing Jewels: Harry Clarke’s Stained Glass is a new exhibition which features Harry Clarke’s earliest known stained glass artworks. Located on the Ground Floor in Collins Barracks, this exhibition brings together works from the collections of the National Museum of Ireland and Crawford Art Gallery to celebrate one of Ireland’s most beloved artists.

The tours will be on at 6.30 pm on Thursday 5th December and Thursday 12th December.
